[ dean knows he should be angry, but in this moment it's easier to be... annoying, teasing, amused than it is to hate castiel.
his eyes light up, mouth quirking upwards at the corners. ] Explosions, fights, guns-- epic escape scenes. You know, cool stuff. [ awesome stuff. manly stuff. dean nudges cas again, once, twice-- all because he can. ]
Better than this crap.
[ but don't let him stop you from viewing your porn...
if anything, dean just relaxes further into the couch, looking almost as if he's physically part of it. ]
[ There's a bit of amusement in his voice this time, flipping the television to another station without even blinking. It looks like a documentary, something serene and not at all what they had almost started. There hadn't even been naked people, so it saves Dean the awkwardness that he's obviously feeling, and Castiel doesn't have to deal with the repercussions that would have come from the aftermath. He sets the remote on the arm of the sofa, thumb gently touching the bump of Dean's ankle. ] ... Do you have plans tomorrow?
[ Meaning they could find it and watch it, probably. Castiel leans into the couch, hardly thinking anything of the fact Dean's legs could have been in his lap if he'd insisted. ]
[ dean exhales in relief when the channel is snapped to something entirely different, finally free of the torture that is talking to castiel with a porno playing out nearby. at his question though, dean gives the vaguest roll of his shoulders. ]
No. Just gotta go check up on Sam, see how, uh, things are going with him and Jess, maybe. Jo, too. [ so odd to talk about jess and jo like this, with them being alive and all. dean doesn't know how to feel about it-- or if he's doing enough to make either of them feel alright.
his expression shifts to something quieter, smaller, then dean's turning on his side a little, facing the back of the couch. ]
This thing is stupidly comfy. [ comes the quiet, tired murmur a moment later. ]
[ Castiel opens his mouth to question him about Jess when the next comment comes and throws him off somewhat. In the entire time he's known Dean, he's never really gotten to see him this relaxed before. Being in the bunker after him and Sam had brought him there from April's, there had been some downtime, but not enough to get an understanding of how they'd incorporated their personal lives into that particular space. There had been things Castiel had enjoyed being there. Yet, since Dean doesn't remember any of that, he has even less to go on.
He considers releasing his ankle but doesn't, gently resting his hand near his calf. It still amazes him how much sensation he gets without his grace, feeling the warmth of Dean's skin and rather aware of how close they are now. He's comfortable too, and it wouldn't take much to lean back, shut his eyes. ]
You shouldn't sleep here.
[ Because he'll complain about something when he wakes up and finds himself spread out on the couch. Castiel, at least, knows how that will end. ]
